Individualized Education Plan (IEP) Training
Parents of Children With Special Needs: IEP Training
IEP training will be provided by Peggy Bud, certified and licensed speech/language pathologist who provides targeted Effective Communication support for families of special needs students. Through training sessions and individual coaching she develops her clients’ communication skills, ensuring that their message is clearly understood and remembered.
*Childcare will be provided in our PASEP classrooms. Pre-Registration is required so that we may provide adequate staffing.
8:00 am to 6:00 pm
The program runs from 8:00 am until 6:00 pm, Monday through Friday and is available to Earthplace Preschool students who are age three, four, and five. From September through June the children will be based in the preschool, which is accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) and licensed by the State of Connecticut, Office of Early Childhood. For June, July, and August the children will participate in our popular Summer Camp program.
The Earthplace full-time program provides a unique opportunity for young children to participate in a developmentally appropriate environment that is immersed in nature. The program includes animal encounters, trail walks, habitat exploration, music and singing, gym, and daily discoveries on our 74 acre campus.
Earthplace offers a teacher to child ratio of 1:6 and is open on most school holidays. We do close for the Westport school break in December and one to two weeks in August. The teachers schedule home visits to meet both children and families before the child starts the program.
The fees include a $300 non-refundable registration fee, $700 contract fee, $90 membership fee, and monthly tuition. The monthly fee for the 2017-2018 year is $1,890/per month.
